This thread discusses the Content article: TIME FOR LOUISIANA TO TAKE ACTION

Jeff,

The federal government, under the lack of leadership of Barack Obama, has once again failed miserably at its' response to this oil spill disaster. Depending on the Army Corps of Engineers is another mistake the State of Louisiana is making. If BP and the federal government are really intent on ceasing the spewing of crude into the Gulf of Mexico, then cut through the red tape and allow the sensible, creative people of Louisiana to use their God-given inguenity to solve this problem. A bunch of Louisiana cajuns, if given the opportunity, could come up with real solutions to this problem - they could do more in one day than BP and Obama have for over 30 days now and counting.

A comment on the Army Corps of Engineers. All they do is come up with study after study (over 40 years now) rather than doing real work that will restore our barrier islands and coastline. How can so many engineers be so absolutely dumb? Individuals in Houma, Thibodaux, Golden Meadow, Grand Isle, The Fourchon, St. Bernard Parish, Plaquemines Parish and other coastal parishes have real solutions to the continual erosion of Louisiana's coastline. It is time for the people of Louisiana to push the Army Corps of Engineers and the federal government aside and tackle the problem of this oil spill and erosion of the precious coastline of Louisiana.

Instead of "...our delicate ecosystem..." I feel that an emphasis might have been made such as, 'This delicate ecosystem which by virtue of location falls under the stewardship of we, the people of the Southern Louisiana Gulf Coast and our neighbors, but in a larger sense is one of all the people of America's treasures and even the whole world's as an especially magnificent feature of God's creation'. O.K, Jeff, a little verbose but you feel me. I don't think that the magnificence of these wetlands can be overstated not to mention the ocean's many environments which will suffer greatly as the oil travels with the current. This web feature would be 'mo betta' if i could split the page and look at the article while determining the appropriate commentary. But i'm not bitter. Hah!
Got called to do the oil cleanup but my car's illegal so i took her off the road. Got another days work as an extra in Memphis Beat filmed at Tipitina's . Tryin' to get a small role in the Brawler as an old time has been boxer. If you got any juice in the industry put in a good word for me. On a more serious note Jeff, I'm sending you an 'e' of extreme significance if i'm right. If not - oh, well. what are u supsd to do w/ d smly fcs?? they don't even work.
