You have stated it precisely! Does jindal think that tucker and chiasson will allow him to proceed unmolested with his precious agenda now that they know that they can defy him at will and suffer no retribution? The most powerful governor in the United States but he has no backbone. Unless he vetoes this abomination and dumps tucker and chiasson, he will have a loooong 3 1/2 years left in his term.

The legislature will go ballistic if he vetos the bill. He would, however, earn the respect, gratitude, and support of those who elected him and can continue his quest for higher office without the yellow stain on his record.

That's just par for the course for the big R boys... pay no attention to the man behind the curtain... Mission accomplished... WMD's... it's all smoke and mirrors. Sure, why not put a greenhorn right up there? He looks the part and that's enough for the party, even tho there's no substance. Just what did he do for George, Sr. other than position himself for his next political aspiration. And what did he do when he was elected to congress but get ready for his next gig in the gov's office. next step, the White House. Makes sense to me. Most Americans really don't know and don't care how thin the ice is we're skating on. And if we're stuck with him for another 3.5 years here in LA we're in for more of the same where the legislators have him by the short ones all the time. Jindal, evolve and grow a spine, will ya?
