If you are my representatives who voted for a raise, then SHAME ON YOU! Judging by your records, you all don't deserve a raise. The bottom line is this: if public servants can't afford to serve, then DON"T SEEK PUBLIC OFFICE. It's that simple. Start representing the public and not yourselves. If you need more money, then find another job. We will all be better off- you will have a better paying job and the public will have representatives who truly are public servants. Believe me, there are many who citizens who are willing to fill your seats. You will see.
